MYH NEWS STORY

Melrose Youth Hockey sponsored a special "Pride in Melrose Hockey"
rally on October 2nd at Memorial Hall.

MYH President Frank Sorrenti was Master of Ceremonies for the evening and had the pleasure of introducing many distinguished guests with deep ties to the Melrose Hockey heritage. UNH Coach Dick Umile, Charlie Holden, and Melrose High School Hockey Coach Chuck Tryder joined Frank on stage to share their legacy and address young hockey players from both Melrose High School and Melrose Youth Hockey.

Their message was one of a rededication to the Melrose Hockey legacy, the pride of wearing that red and white Melrose sweater and representing our city on and off the ice. Many talks centered around the commitment a player needs to make not only to the hockey program but to academic excellence in school as well. Sorrenti went on to recall many great memories in his address to the audience that included other dignitaries like Mayor Dolan and past Presidents of MYH but really set the stage for the future of Melrose Hockey. It surely was a wonderful event and one to build on. Thanks go out to Millie Rich for her support.

MMTV covered the event so watch your local cable listing. MYH President Frank Sorrenti's address can be read on www.Melroseyouthhockey.com
