Pee Wee C-1
Melrose 16, Peabody 0
Melrose broke a Peewee C level record with a 16-0 thumping of Peabody. Jamie
Ferriera kicked off the scoring bonanza with an awesome first period natural hat
trick scoring three in a row from the crease, the point and the circle. Shawn
Stanton had his best game of the season with outstanding end-to-end rushes (2)
deking right and going top shelf twice on the Peabody goalie. Stanton was not
finished. His skates were on fire scoring for a third time with a blind pass and
assist from Conlin Healy. Stanton’s fourth goal of the night was another beauty
set up by James Eisenberg who got the assist making it 7-0. Sean Kiernan had a
strong physical games knocking down Peabody players left and right on his way to
scoring two goals making it 9-0. Evan “Frenchie” Fay did not let down his
Montreal fans with his scoring touch adding two more for Melrose, the last set
up by defenseman Matt Centore who found Fay all alone out front. Justin Laffey
wore the hat knocking down three of his own goals keeping the pressure on and
making it 14-0. Nick Kupchanis scored twice in the third period with assists
from “Tex” O’Hanesian and Zach Aslane putting the final dagger in the Peabody
heart to make it 16-0. Kevin “Make ‘em Miss” Marshall and the “Stonewall
Defense” kept Peabody off the scoreboard the entire game.
